A “feis” (f-e-s-h) is an Irish Dancing competition in which students from beginner to championship level may compete against dancers from other certified Irish Dance schools.
Children must be well-practiced for feises and are required to purchase a costume, wig, shoes, and socks for the event. Feises are held across the United States, and of course around the world. All United States and Canada feises are listed under feis information at www.feisworx.com or www.efeis.com. With your teacherís permission and instruction you may register online to compete in a feis.
